Opposite View From Taliban
The Taliban's Point of View
Mullah Doran, a high ranking member of the Taliban believes educating girls is not part of Islamic law. The Taliban described young Malala as a soldier against Islamic society. The Taliban contended that Malala was not targeted because of education and that statement was a propaganda of media. The Taliban's true declaration is that Malala was targeted because of her pioneer role in preaching secularism and so called enlightened moderation. They said that Malala promoted Western culture, not education. In Pakistani patriarchal society, women's role is not necessary, and Malala tried to take the roles. The Taliban defended their point that they attack girls for the proper reasons.
“We are not against Malala herself but we are against her ideology,” Shahidullah Shahid told The Telegraph by telephone from a secret location.
“Anyone who campaigns against our religion and criticizes Islam like she is doing with her secular ideology, is our enemy, and so we will target her again, and again.”
